This fun and educational annual event is free to all Solano County third grade classes and features a wide variety of rotational learning stations and displays. Activities give children the opportunity to learn about food and fiber production from entertaining new perspectives, with a particular emphasis on the agricultural wealth of Solano County.

Youth Ag Day wouldn't happen without the collaborative efforts of agriculture related businesses, community organizations, farmers, ranchers and our county's 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) participants.

Although there is no cost to attend Youth Ag Day, classes must provide their own transportation and often would not be able to without financial help. FairHands Sponsors are an important part of this support and help this unique, fun and educational learning experience continue and grow.

It's a proud moment for young livestock exhibitors when they walk into the sale ring with their animal at the Solano County Fair Junior Livestock Auction. When the prized animals are sold, the rewards for a year of long, hard work are realized.

A livestock project is a valuable tool for teaching responsibility, dedication and fair competition to youth in our community. Culminating with the Junior Livestock Auction, it also provides the opportunity for a return on the exhibitor's investment and a unique business learning experience. Proceeds from the auction
go to the competitors to recoup their program expenses, with excess funds often going towards college savings.

Your support of this auction through FairHands allows you the opportunity to encourage and recognize and these youngsters for all their efforts.
